Trevor Simpson was bitten by the entertainment and music bug early, buying his first set of turntables at age 14. Becoming a DJ soon consumed his free time and all of his energy. In 1998 Trevor relocated from Boulder Colorado to San Francisco to attend USF, studying Business Marketing. Trevor became a prominent player in the San Francisco underground dance music scene producing countless massive events and solid club nights including the sold out Cyberfest 2001 with over 20,000 in attendance.
Despite his young age, this House Music Veteran (13 Years behind the decks) is San Francisco's lone front man in exposing the new generation of clubbers to the essence of House Music. His spirited leap from the rave/underground scene to San Francisco's most prestigious clubs, as well as major market radio, has been unparalleled by any of his peers. As KNGY’s resident DJ for the mix at six with Joey V, as well as our evening host, Trevor Simpson is a crowd favorite. Every evening he gives listeners the hottest beats and updates on what’s happening in San Francisco.
Not one to remain behind the scenes, Trevor is often at the hottest clubs in town getting to know all the Energy 92.7 listeners, and playing along side worlds biggest DJs! Trevor holds residencies in San Francisco with Ruby Skye, Fluid, Crash, and frequently plays in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, New York and South America. In the studio Trevor is signed to America’s largest dance music label Ultra Records and has released six full length CD compilations with over 250,000 CDs sold to date. Trevor is also a remixer and producer with new solo projects being released soon. Today Trevor produces and promotes one of San Francisco’s most popular monthly parties, World Town. World Town is a sell out event at different venues every month holding anywhere from 200 to 2000 partygoers.
Trevor Simpson is Energy 92.7's evening host Monday though Thursday from 7pm until 9pm. He also hosts the popular Clubber’s Commute on Friday 9pm to midnight and voicetracked Saturday from 7pm to midnight. It has become the soundtrack to every dance music lovers drive to the club.
